The Character of Reaction Injection MoldingTooling Design
-Tooling material is determined by the shot life that client required;
-Same Core & Cavity mould as the traditional tooling;
-No need mold base to support the tooling
-Making a mould takes a long period of time which is about 3~4 weeks to T1 trial run;
-Because of its precision, most of work has to be done by precision CNC.
-Mould of high quality should be qualified with good surface manufacturing and precision
Advantages of Autotmotive RIM Molding
RIM molding allows for many distinct advantages, some of which include:
-Large Parts - For automotive parts such as front car bumpers, rear bumpers will make small batches by RIM;
-Lower Tooling cost, the tooling is much more simper than traditional tooling, which can reduce the tooling cost;
-Lower Reaction Injection Molding cost, the cost to inject a piece is similar to the cost of vacuum casting;
-High quality material than rapid CNC machining blocks, the material used by RIM process is in the same properties as the mass production tooling material;
-Good appearance achievement, KAIAO has overcome the buble issues during RIM and can do any post treatment on RIM products.
-RIM can fulfill your several hundred pieces requirement for pre-market test.
